ASU 141 Flight School Closure / Transition Plan

 

It was a difficult decision, however after much deliberation, ASU made the decision to close the professional pilot program of ASU’s 141 Flight School.

 

There have been many issues which have led up to our decision to close the school, all of which were players in the decision and none of which was the catalyst.  Issues that we and many flight schools face include difficulty in assisting students in finding funding for their training, increased aircraft fuel, component, and insurance costs, our not enforcing an attendance policy, etc.

 

Although we believe that we have achieved the status in being the best flight school in Idaho, it is time for us to leave the market and better focus our energies in other directions of the company which also require our attention.

 

ASU will make every effort to assist current students in completing their respective ratings prior to the scheduled closure. The closure plan will be phased with the last day of training being April 29, 2008.

 

Lastly, we want to thank each and every person that has provided their time, efforts, and dedication, and participation in our Flight School.
